Basic Course in Olive Tree Pruning and Management of the Polyconic Vase Orchard – March 29 and 30, 2026

COURSE OBJECTIVES: Targeted at technicians and industry operators (both hobbyists and professionals), this course aims to provide updated cultivation techniques for the MODERN OLIVE GROWER WHO WANTS TO KEEP PACE WITH CLIMATE CHANGE AND THE PROFOUND TRANSFORMATIONS IN THE OLIVE OIL WORLD. The updates focus on improving both the quantity and quality of olive production.

Specifically, the course aims to enhance professionalism in pruning across different stages: from young trees (Training Pruning) and correctly structured adult trees (Production Pruning) to overgrown trees or those requiring structural simplification for more cost-effective management (Rejuvenation/Restructuring Pruning). In all cases, operations will be performed from the ground (ladder-free) using telescopic, manual, or mechanical tools for rapid, economical, and safe workflow management.

  • 08:45 AM – 10:30 AM: Classroom session. Theory lesson on “Innovation in Olive Cultivation” (agronomic canopy and soil management). BREAK.
  • 10:45 AM – 01:30 PM: Classroom session. Theory lesson on “Innovation in Olive Cultivation” (agronomic canopy and soil management).
  • 01:30 PM – 02:30 PM: Lunch break at La Costa Fattoria Sociale, Sarcedo (VI).
  • 02:30 PM – 05:00 PM: Field session. Theoretical/practical lesson on training, production, and rejuvenation pruning.

  • 08:00 AM – 01:30 PM: Field session. Theoretical/practical lesson on training, production, and rejuvenation pruning.
  • 01:30 PM – 02:30 PM: Lunch at La Costa + closing remarks and delivery of Certificates of Attendance.

  • Participants: Minimum 25 / Maximum 50 participants.
  • Participation Fee: €130.00 per person.
